Air Stream Diffuser

Air Stream bottom diffusers are a high-volume capacity diffuser. The air streams are made up with 3 micro diffuser tubing on each plate giving you 42 inches of high-water volume. Because there is more diffuser holes the micro bubbles break off sooners offering much higher water flow. This leads to higher gas transfer and better degassing as the mass number of tiny bubbles move through the water up to the surface. Carbon dioxide, nitrates, sulphurs and other gasses transfer into the bubbles and the oxygen that is being pumped in from the compressor moves out into the water column.

Because each diffuser moves hundreds of gallons per hour with a simple smaller air compressor, it is a very efficient way to clean your water. They operate very well with only 1.5-2 CFM per diffuser. For larger ponds or lake needs just buy bigger air compressors to match your needs. For example (a pond 100’ x 250’ would use a Thomas 2660 pump and 3-4 air stream diffusers and the manifold and weighted tubing). With every aeration order we call the customer to make sure they are buying the right system for their pond size. We go over pond size, depth, hydro needs and how to place the diffusers. This gives us a chance to make sure all your needs go into the system box.

It takes oxygen to breakdown particles in your pond, and this helps to grow good bacteria which further helps to break down clean the water column.
