ORB-3 Beneficial Bacteria Packets for Ponds
ORB-3 Beneficial Bacteria is manufactured for Pond Perfections by Great Lakes BioSystems, leaders in bacteria and enzyme cultures. We have created this bacteria over many years and, as a result, have created a leading-edge product for cleaning ponds and formulated specifically for Canadian colder temperatures.
Ponds have a natural level of good bacteria which helps to clean and improve the health of the water. The number of natural bacteria may not be sufficient in ponds that have a high nutrient load caused by extensive dead plants, algae, and lower oxygen levels. By adding ORB-3 Professional bacteria to a pond, you increase the bacteria, therefore, cleaning the water and speeding up the decomposition of sludge.
Reduces E-coli in Swimming Ponds and Dugouts
They are widely used in swimming ponds and dugouts to improve water quality. Improves clearer visibility by removing floating partials in the water column, therefore, lowering the nutrient load.
How it Works
Orb-3 contains specialized strains of fast-reproducing microbes and high-volume waste consumers that voraciously feed on excess nutrients. Formulated to stimulate the natural activity with additional species of fast-acting bacteria, Orb-3 Professional Bacteria attacks nutrients in the water column and sludge bed. Feeding on organics, odor-causing volatile, and waste from duck, geese, and fish that cause the muck to accumulate.
Throw Orb-3 Bacteria Packets into the water on a calm day, and they will spread across the surface. The ORB-3 particles will take on water and, in the sinking, will contact algae floating in the water column. As nutrient levels decrease, oxygen levels increase, further cleaning the water.
1/2 LB Packets or Pellet Form
ORB-3 Professional bacteria is available in a ½ LB packet that is thrown directly into the pond. A great simple to use the product for larger ponds and lakes. Widely used in swimming areas in campgrounds to lower e-coli
The other form is pellets, used to spot treat problem areas. See Sludge Reduction Pellets for more information.
